Royal Ulster Constabulary GC

The Royal Ulster Constabulary GC was formed on 1st June 1922 after the War of Independance when the

Royal Irish Constabulary was disbanded and the Garda Siochana took over as the

Police Force in the Republic of Ireland.

On 23rd November 1999, Her Majesty The Queen awarded the Royal Ulster Constabulary the George Cross in recognition of the courage and dedication to duty of all those who have served in the Royal Ulster Constabulary.

The Royal Ulster Constabulary GC proudly protected the people of Northern Ireland until its disbandment in 2001, when it was replaced by the Police Service of Northern Ireland.

Within my collection I also have items from the Royal Irish Constabulary and Belfast Harbour Police.
